Robert Griffin III Names the Worst-Run Team in the NFL
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears (4-12) and Seattle Seahawks (9-7) finished off the 2024 "Thursday Night Football" slate with a dreadful offensive showing, which Seattle ultimately won 6-3 at rainy Soldier Field.

The teams combined for 444 total yards of offense, only 179 coming from Chicago as Caleb Williams averaged a measly 2.2 yards per pass attempt and was sacked seven times (now 67 times this season).

After the game, former Pro Bowl quarterback turned football analyst Robert Griffin III singled out one of Thursday's prime-time participants.

"The Chicago Bears are the worst run franchise in the NFL. Their fans deserve better," Griffin wrote on X.

Fans let ownership know it on Thursday night too, breaking out into "sell the team" chants in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

Chicago, which fired head coach Matt Eberflus after Week 13, has now lost 10 straight games — tied for the franchise's worst losing streak — and has scored only 20 first-quarter points across 16 games this season. Between Weeks 13-15, the Bears didn't score a single point in the first half.

In the highly competitive NFC North division that features three rivals with 11 or more wins, the Bears sit comfortably in last place for the second time in the last three seasons.

They're also last in the NFL in average yards per game (288.4) and fifth worst in average points per game (17.9) with one game left on the schedule.
