RWE announced their first signee for the 2025-26 season on Thursday afternoon with Kameron Mercer, a superstar guard in the making
Kam Mercer is a 6-5, 200 lb shooting guard from Cincinnati, Ohio who played at Huntington Expression Prep last season. Mercer is a class of 2028 guard who is ranked fifth in the class according to ESPN. Mercer will be joining RWE for the 2025-26 season where he will play alongside one of the top players at OTE in Taylen Kinney
Mercer was recently named to the USA U16 National team who will be competing at the FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup in early June. Mercer plays up an age group on the Nike EYBL circuit with Indy Heat. Playing at the most recent Nike EYBL session, Mercer helped lead the Heat to a 4-0 record after averaging 9.8 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.0 APG and 2.3 SPG. Mercer has an extremely high ceiling as a two way player with a penchant for attacking the basket
