A flurry of scoring and defensive playmaking in the final two minutes saw RWE take control of Game 3 of the Finals, clinching a pivotal win to take a 2-1 series lead and put them just a single win away from their first title in program history. Daquan Davis made RWE’s offense hum, scoring a game-high 24 points while also dishing out three assists ♨️
A one possession game with under two minutes to go, Somto Cyril went into takeover mode dishing out an assist, pinning a shot to the backboard and then tipping in a missed basket on back-to-back-to-back possessions. The City Reapers were unable to withstand the sequence leading to their eventual 78-71 demise
Cyril’s presence was undeniable in his 19 minutes played, scoring 12 points, snatching eight boards and matching the season’s single game high for blocks with five. Karter Knox continued to be an impactful scoring force for RWE, putting up 18 points as he showed again that he can score from anywhere on the floor
For the City Reapers, Amari Evans continues to prove he is the linchpin of the team, as he notched a team-high 17 points on offense, while still making a massive impact on defense with four steals. Jahki Howard’s bounce was on full display, as he scored 16 points with a combination of his silky jumpshot and his ferocious, athletic drives to the rim
