The Phoenix Mercury are on a roll after securing their second-straight win on Tuesday. The Mercury secured a win against the Los Angeles Sparks, thanks to another triple-double from All-Star forward Alyssa Thomas, securing a 92-84 win. The star had 12 points on 55.6% shooting from the field, 16 rebounds and 15 assists.

She had help from her co-star, Satou Sabally. The German-American star had 19 points on 50% from the field and three rebounds. The three-time All-Star also made 50% of her attempts from downtown.

Kahleah Copper didn't miss out on the action. She added 18 points and three assists against LA. But the true star of the night was Thomas.

Thomas continues her historic season, dropping her seventh triple-double, which is the most in a single season. Following the win, Sabally spoke highly of her co-star, who's also one of the top candidates to win the MVP award. For the Mercury star, the six-time All-Star is the winner of the prestigious award.

“I would tell them she’s one of a kind. No on has been doing or has ever did anything like her,” Sabally said of Thomas. “And she is the Most Valuable Player in the whole league. Period.”

The season isn't over, and Thomas could continue to make history with her triple-doubles. The Mercury has seven games left in the campaign before the playoffs start. The former Maryland star has appeared in 32 games, averaging 15.9 points, 9.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists this year.
