The Savannah Bananas took the field at Angel Stadium last week in front of several crowds of 45,000-plus fans and did not disappoint.

In the top of the third inning, with the Firefighters batting, the Bananas pulled off three consecutive trick plays over the span of just two minutes and 11 seconds.

The growth of Banana Ball and the love of the Savannah franchise has grown exorbitantly. They are currently on a world tour and regularly sell out major stadiums thanks to trick plays like those against the Firefighters.

Essentially the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball, the Bananas are known for putting on amusing, family-friendly shows highlighted by wild antics and incredibly acrobatic catches.

Bananas games also routinely feature guest appearances and they most recently welcomed actor Patrick Renna, who portrayed Hamilton “Ham” Porter in the classic baseball film “The Sandlot.”

The Bananas are currently sold out through July with games in Grand Rapids and Cincinnati upcoming. They return home to Georgia on June 19 where they are scheduled to take on the Party Animals.
