Saw 11 is gearing up for filming ahead of its release in the fall of 2025, and its star Tobin Bell has teased what’s on the table plot-wise.

According to the actor, the horror sequel will peel back the layers on John Kramer, the demented contraption designer who enacts revenge on people who he perceives have wronged society by forcing them into deadly games.

“I’m really excited about continuing to develop him,” Bell tells the LA Times. “John Kramer is not done. There’s more to learn.” Kramer might have started life as a one-note killer in 2004’s first Saw film, but after two decades, the character is now among the most memorable horror villains in history.

In fact, the Saw franchise is about to celebrate its 20-year anniversary. As part of Beyond Fest, Bell is set to attend a screening of the first Saw on Friday, 4th October at LA's Egyptian Theatre. The movie is also returning to theatres for a limited time, and even got a new poster design, which you can see below. Meanwhile, have a read of our Saw X review roundup.

“It’s all in the writing,” Bell continues. “Each film is a different story and John’s in a different place…Same guy but different circumstances.” Saw X saw Kramer head to Mexico in order to receive surgery after a cancer diagnosis, but when he realizes he’s been duped, traps his perpetrators in a new assortment of murderous devices. It grossed $111.8 million worldwide.
