Scott Van Pelt is on the injured list this week. On Monday, the popular ESPN personality revealed that he will not be part of the Monday Night Countdown pregame show or SportsCenter.

In a post on X, Van Pelt revealed that he currently has no voice — a pretty important component to hosting a television program. So, he’ll be taken this week off.

“So we played another fun edition of will Scott’s voice quit before the show ends last night,” Van Pelt wrote. “Unfortunately, I woke up to zero voice at all. Just gone. As a result, no trip to Vegas for Monday Night Countdown or SportsCenter.”

Van Pelt also revealed that Monday Night Football play-by-play guy Joe Buck will host a majority of Monday Night Countdown. Approximately 30 minutes before kickoff, Buck will then head up to the press box and his wife, Michelle Beisner-Buck, will take over.

Monday Night Football features a matchup between the Green Bay Packers (2-2) and Las Vegas Raiders (1-3). Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET and the game airs on ABC and ESPN. It’s the final game of Week 5 in the NFL.
