'Second biggest sports star in Hollywood' – $700 million worth Shohei Ohtani, NOT LeBron James, biggest name in LA, claims Skip Bayless

NBA analyst Skip Bayless claimed on Twitter that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James isn’t the number one sports star in Hollywood anymore. Bayless, in his Twitter post, claims that the Japanese star pitcher Shohei Ohtani has taken the number one spot.

Shohei Ohtani, who was with the Los Angeles Angels , has made one of the major moves to the Los Angeles Dodgers and signed a massive deal worth 700 million dollars for the tenure of ten years. It has skyrocketed the sensational baseball pitcher’s net worth off the roof. Ohtani is known for his incredible skills in all aspects of the game of baseball making him an all-rounder, setting him apart from the rest.

Skip Bayless, in his tweet, indicates that fact Shohei Ohtani’s impact in the world of baseball on and off the field has surpassed LeBron James. Ohtani is one of the only players in the history of Major League Baseball (MLB) to make it to the All-Star game and has excelled both as a pitcher and a position player. This has all eyes on the player as the new sensation in the city of Los Angeles.

Shohei Ohtani’s global appeal as an athlete (being from Japan) has attracted a diverse audience for the MLB. He has successfully redefined his image as a global superstar and Bayless’s assertion proves that. Ohtani’s achievements include being awarded twice as the AL MVP and becoming the very first player to be an MVP unanimously.

Los Angeles Lakers do not intend to hang a banner if they win the In-Season Tournament Final

The Los Angeles Lakers swayed their way to a 133-89 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. They advanced to the finals of the In-Season Tournament. The Lakers don’t want to hang a banner if they win this tournament. For them, a banner can only be hung if they win the big one(NBA title).

NBA Insider Arash Markazi said there is no possibility of that taking place:

The Lakers have improved their performances significantly since last season. They will face the Indiana Pacers for the finals on Saturday. The Lakers are currently placed at 5th in the Western Conference standings. They have a record of 14 wins and 9 losses so far.
