It's no secret that Shane Gillis will be rooting for Notre Dame on Monday night in the national title game. The popular comedian has been pulling for the Fighting Irish all season long.

During the start of the College Football Playoff, ESPN invited Gillis to "College GameDay" when the show as in South Bend for a showdown between Indiana and Notre Dame. The former "Saturday Night Live" member didn't disappoint while on the show, cracking jokes about Nick Saban, the SEC and a plethora of other subjects.

With the national title game almost here, Under Armour has released a new commercial starring Gillis. In this hilarious ad, Gillis asks God to help Notre Dame defeat Ohio State.

"Hey, God. It’s me Shane. I know I haven’t been here in a while but I have a pretty big prayer for you," Gillis said at the start of the ad. "Notre Dame is in the national championship on Monday. I know you know, because you’ve been with us the whole time – couple weeks ago, that field goal. I know you have a lot going on, so that was pretty chill you took time to help us with that

"I should also say I hath not bet on any of these games … Alright, I have, I hath bet. But going forward, if Notre Dame wins, thou will not bet on games … for a month. Couple weeks. I’m probably going to bet on Sunday. Come on, God. I know you can help us. Trucking dudes. Pick sixes everywhere. Maybe a couple Fumblerooskis! Just please let Notre Dame win a national championship."

Gillis went viral earlier this week for questioning Ohio State's integrity. While on Joe Rogan's podcast, he took a shot at Ohio State booster Les Wexner.

"I have an important question for the podcast," Gillis said. "Jamie, who's the Epstein pedophile that paid for Ohio State's roster this year? What did he do and why did he pay for your entire roster and most of your campus? What did he do though that's suspect? Did he do anything weird?"

Suffice to say, Gillis won't be pulling any punches on Monday night. It's unclear if he'll actually attend the national championship game in Atlanta.

Notre Dame is a huge underdog heading into this game, but Marcus Freeman's squad has defied the odds in the past.

Kickoff for the national title game is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
