The Big Diesel is currently missing his Big Diesel.

Retired basketball icon Shaquille O’Neal’s $180,000 Range Rover has gone missing and is suspected to have been stolen, Oli Coleman of Page Six reported on Thursday. Coleman notes that the Range Rover, which was custom-made to fit O’Neal’s seven-foot build, disappeared while it was headed from Atlanta to Louisiana in order to undergo a renovation.

O’Neal’s vehicle was reportedly in the possession of a car transport company but never made it to its intended destination after being picked up. Effortless Motors, the company that was supposed to renovate the Range Rover upon its arrival, discovered that the vehicle had gone missing somewhere along the route.

It is reportedly believed that the Range Rover was stolen by thieves who hacked the transport company for info about the vehicle’s pick-up and drop-off points. You can read Coleman’s full report on the situation here.

The 15-time NBA All-Star O’Neal, now 53 years old, is known for his love of cars and has an impressive collection that is estimated to be worth up to a reported $4 million. But now one of those expensive vehicles is unaccounted for and believed to have been stolen by hackers.

We have seen some recent precedent for this kind of crime before, particularly involving sports figures. Around this time last year, a former MLB MVP got his Lamborghini stolen from the possession of a transport company as part of an elaborate alleged scheme involving fake documents and VIN switching (read the full details here).
