The Cleveland Browns are the NFL team with the most quarterbacks on their roster with five, and two of them are young guys that they just selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.
They picked Oregon's Dillon Gabriel in the third round, and they took Colorado's Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round, who slid all the way down from his projected draft spot in the first round.
So naturally, there is going to be a bit of competition between the two rookie field generals, but in a recent interview with DJ Siddiqi of SportsCasting.com, Sanders revealed the thing that he finds impressive about his new teammate.
"Everything’s been cool," Sanders said. "He’s a cool person. I like how he handles situations, especially just the negative media that’s coming his way. I’m just happy he’s positive, he’s able to handle everything. We’re truly cool."
Sanders knows a thing or two about negative media, as he and his father were the talk of the draft, with a lot people saying he was "overrated" or "entitled" because of his dad. But he will be hoping Gabriel can teach him how to shut out the haters a bit.
The former Oregon star played six seasons in college football compared to Sanders' two, which means that he has been subject to a lot of attention over the years. If you are a quarterback at any level of football, you are going to get criticism. Gabriel just knows how to deal with it better than others.
It is going to be an interesting dynamic between the two rookie QBs, but Sanders sounds like he is happy to be on a team with Gabriel and learn what he can from the college football legend.
