Sick Media Is Now The Official Voice of The Laval Rocket

On Tuesday, the Laval Rocket announced that their new official play-by-play audio broadcaster will be Sick Media. This is huge news for the new age Sports Media company that has grown tremendously since father and son owners Aniello and Sammy Cavallaro launched the company back in 2020, partnering with well-known Montreal Sports personality, Tony Marinaro, with the company’s very first podcast.

This is the first official broadcasting partnership that Sick Media has obtained. You will now be able to listen to the Laval Rocket on YouTube and through the Sick Podcast website for free. Cedrik Blondin and Vincent Demuy will be joining the Sick Media family as the play-by-play announcer and color commentator for all the Laval Rocket games on home ice.

The Cavallaros have worked hard to put together over 25 podcasts across North America under the Sick Media platform since launching over 5 years ago. Now, it’s time to take on a new challenge that the team is ready to take on in the world of sports Media as an official broadcaster.

Following the Laval Rocket choosing Sick Media as their official radio partner to their home games, Sammy Cavallaro released a statement saying that, ” For the Laval Rocket organization to choose Sick Media as a broadcast partner is not only a huge pride for our team, but also validation of our growth and long-term vision.

The Sick Podcast hopes that this will be the first of many official partnerships with pro sports teams in the future. However, just like the podcast with Tony Marinaro, all it takes is one opportunity to show what they can do as an audio broadcaster. Who knows, maybe this will eventually lead to getting a TV broadcast partnership in the near future. They won’t rush into that as the company has prided itself on mastering the podcast game and is now hoping to take over all audio forms.

The first broadcast that Blondin and Demuy will be calling for the Laval Rocket will be their home opener on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at 7:00 pm ET, as they take on the Abbotsford Canucks. Mark your calendars to listen to the first-ever live game broadcast by Sick Media.

Only time will tell what’s next, as the company has been constantly growing in the last 5 years. There’s also another big announcement expected tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10th. Stay tuned for that news as Sick Media continues to shape the world of sports media.
