Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens were among the many athletes who attended Monday's Met Gala.
A day before their two-year wedding anniversary, the Olympic gymnast and Chicago Bears safety attended the annual fashion event in New York City. Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Angel Reese, Lewis Hamilton, Serena Williams, and Noah Lyles also worked the blue carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Biles wore a blue Seraphim dress long enough in the back to seem like the seven-time Olympic gold medalist was sporting a superhero cape. The 4-foot-8 Biles also donned noticeably high heels to get a bit closer to her 5-foot-11 husband's eye level.
Owens accompanied her with an all-white suit, a fur cape, and a black cane.

Arguably the greatest gymnast of all time, Biles has earned gold in 23 world championship events. She's competed in three separate Olympics, recovering from a bout of the "twisties" to win three gold medals and a silver at Paris last summer.
Biles is accustomed to high-pressure situations, but she joked with Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim on a Vogue red carpet show that preparing for the Met Gala was tougher.
"Only because I trained for the Olympics my whole entire life, and this is just a one-day event," Biles said. "I got in yesterday. We did all my fittings. It's just a lot. It's stressful.
Owens, who is preparing for his seventh NFL season, concurred.
"Definitely the Met," Owens added. "Just because I feel her energy."
Biles and Owens have had a busy few days. On Saturday, they attended the Kentucky Derby. Biles wore all pink while delivering the ceremonial "Riders Up" call at Churchill Downs.
Given their busy schedules, Biles appreciated the chance for her and Owens to have a fancy date night at the Met Gala.
"We're a little bit of long-distance, so we don't get to do events like this a lot of the time," Biles said. "So it's been a fantastic week. Anniversary is tomorrow, so good start to the week.
