Slow Horses Season 5 Finishes Filming, Eyes 2025 Release

Apple TV+’s most critically acclaimed drama is returning for a fifth season.

Slow Horses season 5 has now wrapped production, according to the series’ producer and showrunner Will Smith.

“We've nearly done season 5,” Smith tells Collider. “We've got a couple of days to finish off on it, but we're already into the edit, so it's coming. Don't worry, it's coming. Not as quick as you want, but it's coming.”

Slow Horses season 4 aired its final episode last week, but Smith and his crew made it with full confirmation Apple had already greenlight season 5. That means they were free to tell a grander, more coherent story across the seasons safe in the knowledge there’s no abrupt cancellation coming their way.

Slow Horses continues to earn plaudits. It received nine nominations at the most recent Emmys, and its latest season is currently sitting at a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. As for the Slow Horses season 5 release date, it’ll likely premier summer 2025, following the pattern of previous seasons.
