In June, Netflix unveiled the trailer for a new superhero series, Supacell.
The series came from creator Rapman, starring Michael Salami, Eddie Marsan, Adelayo Adedayo, Travis Jay, Destiny Viva, Ky-Mani Carty, and Andy Thompson.
In season one of Supacell, we follow five ordinary people with little in common except for the fact they have all developed superpowers. It is down to one man – Michael Lasaki – to unite them in a desperate bid to save the woman he loves.
It snuck onto the platform to widely unanimous praise, scoring a 100% critics score on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a 73% audience score.
Now, Netflix has already revealed that the series has been renewed for a second season, and fans could not be more excited to see what's to come in the next chapter of this story.

Supacell's creator, Rapman, added his thoughts to the end, saying, "This one's gonna be ever madder, so tell your friends, tell the haters we back. Supacell to the world."
Sebastian Thiel, the series' director, shared his thoughts over on X (formerly known as Twitter), saying, "Teamwork makes the dreamwork. Big up everyone that poured their heart into the show".

The answer to that is yet to be revealed, but with season one having just hit Netflix, it's unlikely that we'll see season two any time before 2025/2026.
