Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce effect goes beyond the gridiron after viral video at US Open
USA TODAY Sports

Anything Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce touch these days turns to gold immediately.

Literally anything and everything.

The latest example proves just that.

On Sunday, Travis and Taylor attended the US Open to watch the men's final between Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz. And they had so much fun, not caring about all the eyes (and cameras) on them. Instead, they were just focused on each other.

Specifically, the two were caught serenading each other, singing the 2003 hit, "I Believe in a Thing Called Love," by The Darkness.

But here's where things get really crazy.

According to Variety, the Spotify streams for 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love'  increased by nearly 70%.

Imagine having that kind of power that simply mouthing the words to one song can cause it's popularity to grow this fast.

'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' singer reacts to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's viral video at US Open

Fans couldn't get enough of all the videos of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift having the time of their lives at the US Open this past weekend.

Specifically, one video caught the star couple singing the 2003 hit, "I Believe in a Thing Called Love," by The Darkness. And they included some dance moves too.

Justin Hawkins, a member of the rock band, posted a video on TikTok reacting to the video.

"So a few weeks ago, I went to see Taylor Swift at the stadium in Zurich, and the hospitality they showed us was extraordinary," Hawkins explained. "They put us in a lovely V.I.P area. I had Chris Rock on one side and Roger Federer on the other side.

"And I was just dad of the year. And to make matters even more spectacular, Taylor Swift actually sent me a letter which was waiting for me in the VIP section, talking about how much she loves the song, 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love.'

"I was just Dad of the Year, maybe Dad of the Century, because all of that was a big surprise. And Speaking of big surprises, I woke up this morning, and everybody’s forwarded me some footage of ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ being played at the U.S. Open and Taylor Swift and her partner Travis dancing along to it and really enjoying the music.

"So it was a really heartwarming moment for me, and my little girl can't wait to tell her friends at school. So thanks Taylor, thanks Travis, and thanks everyone who enjoys tennis. That's a really lovely start to the day."
