Team Impact Kid Brings New Perspective to Cowgirl Basketball

In February 2021, then seven-year-old Josie Sharpe was diagnosed with a glioneuronal brain tumor in her right temporal lobe. In December of 2022, Josie and her family were contacted by Team IMPACT, an organization that matches children facing serious illness & disability with college sports teams, creating long-term, life changing experiences. Josie was matched with the Wyoming Cowgirls and has spent the last two-plus years with the team, cheering them on at home and attending select road games and the Mountain West Championship in Las Vegas. Josie's battle has inspired the Cowgirl family and has brought a new perspective to the program.
