Tennessee 4-Star TE locks in Alabama official visit

Malik Howard shared to X he has locked in an official visit with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Howard attends Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. The 2027 recruit currently plans to officially visit both Alabama and Notre Dame, according to posts he has made on X. The Tide will get him on campus on the weekend of May 29. Notre Dame will host for an official on the weekend of June 12.

The four-star previously praised the way Alabama used their tight ends.

“They’re really starting to use their tight ends in different ways and look to keep multiple on the field, so it’s looking like they could have great production from the position with the right guys,” said Howard.

At 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Howard is a physical tight end, who looks comfortable making contested catches in traffic. He also has experience lining up out wide and attached to the line of scrimmage. He is an effective blocker and is effective at releasing from blocks and becoming a target for his quarterback.
