Tennessee speedster commits to Alabama to play wide receiver

Owen Cabell has announced a verbal commitment to Alabama.

Cabell attends Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He currently garners a three-star rating from multiple recruiting sites, and the rising senior becomes the Tide’s 15th 2026 commit.

The 6-foot-3, 206-pounder finished the 2024 football season with 973 receiving yards, 1,204 all-purpose and 14 total touchdowns.

Cabell’s speed jumps out on film and it is backed up by his ability to clock in 4.4 forty-yard dash which he did at an Under Armour Camp stop. He also is a proven track runner with a PR of 10.76 in the 100-meter dash. This speed allows him to accelerate and create separation from defenders after the catch. He also is effective at getting behind the defense and stretching the field.
