The Tennessee Vols earned a small offseason recruiting win against the Florida Gators this week, though time will tell if it's a win truly worth celebrating.

2025 five-star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson was scheduled to take an official visit to Florida on June 14.

According to On3's Chad Simmons, that visit is no longer happening.

Instead, Gibson will take an official visit to Tennessee on June 14.

Gibson, 6-foot-4/245 lbs from Warner Robbins, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 17 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.

The talented defender is currently committed to the USC Trojans (he committed to USC in late March), but several recruiting analysts think there's a solid chance that Gibson ends up signing with another program.

Georgia, South Carolina, Auburn, Ohio State, and Oklahoma are also scheduled to receive official visits from Gibson over the next few weeks.

For now, Georgia is viewed as the program with the best chances to flip Gibson.

Tennessee, however, could certainly give the highly coveted recruit plenty to think about with a great official visit in June. Gibson previously took an unofficial visit to UT in late April.

Regardless of what happens in Gibson's recruitment, it's a big deal that he canceled his official visit to Florida so he can check out Tennessee instead.
