Atlanta Braves legend and Hall of Famer Chipper Jones caused quite a stir on social media this week via some comments he made about certain college baseball teams.
"I will only watch a select few teams from here on out," tweeted Jones. "Reason? They have coaches that respect the game and their opponents and demand the same of their players. Any team that doesn’t wear the uni[form] correctly, taunts the other team, and has a coach that condones this behavior, is a disgrace to the game."

Some fans thought that Jones' comments were directed at the Tennessee Vols. Jones, however clarified on Wednesday evening that he was not talking about Tennessee.

Jones, who apparently spends quite a bit of time on Twitter, continued tweeting about his comments early into Thursday morning. He eventually revealed that Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello reached out to him about the comments.
"Learned a lot about Tennessee and what they think of me and even had Coach V reach out," tweeted Jones at 1:40 AM ET on Thursday.

It's unclear what was said between Jones and Vitello, but it certainly sounds like it was a productive and respectful conversation.
But before Tennessee fans who also root for the Braves get all warm and fuzzy about a potential Vitello/Chipper bromance, it should be noted that the former Atlanta third baseman pointed out that he's a "Gator at heart".
