The Houston Texans are going to use every single avenue they can to find the right players to help them fill their needs. They have some holes to fill and really just the 2025 NFL Draft to do it. That and the UDFA class coming up.
So, pre-draft visits are very important. What's even more important is pro days, or local pro days, to give the guys who are local to that team a fair shot at showing what they can do. Some of these players didn't get invited to the NFL Scouting Combine or the Big 12 Combine, or things like that. This helps them put their name out there.
And, the Texans have shown a bit of interest in two of them, as far as we know.
The Houston Texans are good at spotting talent that others don't really see. And, they plan on going to see some of that talent here pretty soon. According to Aaron Wilson of KCPR2, Texas A&M wide receiver Jahdae Walker and University of Houston defensive back A'Jani Carter are to participate in the Texans' annual local prospect day.

Walker stands at 6’4” and 205 pounds. In 2023, he transferred to Texas A&M to compete in the SEC. In his first season with the Aggies, Walker played all 13 games, starting seven. He had 35 receptions for 590 yards and four touchdowns, including three 100-yard games.
His 137 yards in the Texas Bowl were a season high. In 2024, Walker started nine games, catching 29 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns. Despite a hand injury, he didn’t miss much time. Walker runs a 4.43 40-yard dash, and also has talked and met with the Cleveland Browns during all of this.
As for Carter, he's a senior defensive back who joined the Cougars in 2024 after transferring from Utah State. The 6’2”, 200-pound DB played 11 games, logging 453 defensive snaps and tying for third on the team with three pass breakups.
Carter has some potential that the Texans feel like they may be able to tap into.
