The Texas Longhorns and Ohio State Buckeyes are getting prepared for their epic showdown in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Friday night, and while fans traveling to the game are dealing with snow and wintery weather, the teams should be find, playing in a temperature controlled environment at AT&T Stadium.
However, the Longhorns are still playing into the environment, going the unconventional route of wearing all-white uniforms as the home team in the game. Though the game is on a neutral field, the location in Dallas certainly favors Texas, who is the higher seed in the matchup.
Leading up to the game, Texas further leaned into the weather, showing off their helmets with a snowy backdrop on social media and sending a two-word message to the fans.

While the Longhorns take the all-white look as the home team, we will see Ohio State don their scarlet red jerseys with silver pants, the traditional home atire for the Buckeyes. With both of these historically relevant programs, it will be one of the most classic uniform matchups in all of college football.
At the moment, Ohio State is favored to win this game by a little bit less than a touchdown, with most sports books settling on a 5.5-point spread. The Buckeyes are coming off of quite possibly the most dominant win of the season, beating the No. 1 Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day, 41-21. If they can keep that momentum going into the Cotton Bowl, it could potentially be another lopsided affair.
However, Texas is coming off of a gutsy double-overtime win against the Arizona State Sun Devils in their quarterfinal playoff game, and they will look to ride the momentum from that into Friday night's game.
This matchup will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and be aired on ESPN.
