They’re both fine when it comes to going to a bowl game … maybe.Texas State and South Alabama are both bowl eligible.

The Jaguars got to six wins with a great win over Louisiana and blowout last week over a bad Southern Miss.

The Bobcats inexplicably biffed in the home finale against Georgia State, but it had six win sewn up the week before.

Here’s the problem.

So many Sun Belt teams will be bowl eligible, and there should be too many teams available nationally without enough slots, that the six-win teams from the Group of Five conferences might have to worry.

The winner here will be 7-5 and will get a bowl spot. The loser, again, should be okay. But …

South Alabama has a problem with the good passing teams - that’s Texas State, but it really is about stopping the run.

South Alabama has allowed over 190 yards three times, but its own running game will go off, too.

At home the Jaguars will win the turnover battle - that will be enough to break serve and pull this out in a wild fight.
