It's everything you could ask for as a fan of a particular school - did you enjoy a massive season in both football and men's college basketball?
Of course if you're a UConn fan you had a blast watching the women's basketball team, and there are certainly successful sports at other schools. But football and men's hoops are the main revenue producers and generally get the most publicity.
These ten rocked in football and in the NCAA Tournament. And if your school went to the College Football Playoff, too, that's an extra bonus.

The Cougars might not have won a conference championship, but they had a great regular season in football, blasted Colorado in the Alamo Bowl, and the Sweet 16 run in the NCAA Tournament - with a great win over Wisconsin - was terrific.
Basketball: 26-10, 3rd in Big 12 (14-6), Sweet 16 Loss in NCAA Tournament
Football: 11-2, 1st in Big 12 (7-2), Won Alamo Bowl
2024: 57 2023: 46
It was a year of coming extremely close to massive things. Lane Kiffin's football bunch almost made the College Football Playoff, and the basketball side almost got to the Elite Eight. Even so, it was a great year.
Basketball: 24-12, 6th in SEC (10-8), Sweet 16 Loss in NCAA Tournament
Football: 10-3, 4th in SEC (5-3), Won Gator Bowl
2024: 31 2023: 84
The hoops team flamed out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but finishing second in the ACC regular season was fun. Winning the ACC title in football and going to the College Football Playoff - it battled in the loss to Texas - was even better.
Basketball: 27-7, 2nd in ACC (18-2), First Round Loss in NCAA Tournament
Football: 10-4, 2nd in ACC (7-1), ACC Champion, Lost First Round College Football Playoff
2024: 8 2023: 29
A Big Ten Tournament championship and Sweet 16 run was amazing for a hoops team that wasn't supposed to do anything. There was a letdown in football after the epic 2024, but ... it made Ohio State cry, and closed with a win over Alabama.
Basketball: 27-10, 2nd in Big Ten, Won Big Ten Tournament, Sweet 16 Loss in NCAA Tournament
Football: 8-5, 7th in Big Ten (5-4), Won ReliaQuest Bowl
2024: 3 2023: 9
It was a shockingly strong first season for Manny Diaz and the football team. The season might have ended with a blowout bowl loss to Ole Miss, but a nine-win run was great. The Blue Devils won the ACC regular season and tournament titles and got to the Final Four, but ... unfortunately, that wasn't good enough this year's team.
Basketball: 35-4, 1st in ACC (19-1), Won ACC Regular Season and Tournament, Lost in the Final Four
Football: 9-4, 4th in ACC (5-3), Lost Gator Bowl
2024: 10 2023: 11
Yeah, it was a disappointment to get knocked out right away in the College Football Playoff, but the Dawgs still won the SEC title in what counts as a down year for the program. Just getting to the NCAA Tournament was a success.
Basketball: 20-13, 9th in SEC (8-10), First Round Loss in NCAA Tournament
Football: 11-3, 2nd in SEC (6-2), SEC Champion, Lost in College Football Playoff Second Round (Sugar Bowl)
2024: 26 2023: 3
It all might have ended with a thud against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, but Oregon won the Big Ten Championship and was the CFP No. 1 seed in its first year in the Big Ten. The basketball team never got the national attention it deserved.
Basketball: 25-10, 7th in Big Ten (12-8), Second Round Loss in NCAA Tournament
Football: 13-1, 1st in Big Ten (9-0), Big Ten Champion, Lost in College Football Playoff Second Round (Rose Bowl)
2024: 5 2023: 41
Ohio State won the College Football Playoff National Championship. Nothing else matters - not even a loss to That Team Up North.
Basketball: 17-15, 10th in Big Ten (9-11)
Football: 14-2, 4th in Big Ten (7-2), College Football Playoff National Champion
2024: 34 2023: 30
Flip a coin between Tennessee or Ohio State being No. 2 - winning the CFP national title beats just about everything else. But the hoops side was fantastic with a great regular season, a spot in the SEC Championship, and an Elite Eight run. All of that combined with a College Football Playoff appearance from the other side.
Basketball: 30-8, 4th in SEC (12-6), Elite Eight Loss in NCAA Tournament
Football: 10-3, 2nd in SEC (6-2), Lost in College Football Playoff First Round
2024: 9 2023: 7
You win a national championship in football or basketball and you're automatically boosted into the top ten. You combine that with a fantastic comeback in the second half of the football season, a winning record in what looked like a lost year, and a bowl win, and Florida fans had a whale of a ride.
Basketball: 35-4, 2nd in SEC (14-4), Won SEC Tournament, Won the National Championship
Football: 8-5, 10th in SEC (4-4), Won Gasparilla Bowl
2024: 68 2023: 109
