As the AUSL wraps up its time in Texas and Utah, the crowds are selling out the stadiums. It is something magical to see, especially when the sunset shows up. The postseason is set, but much to play for from a player’s standpoint. Now, here is a recap of Games 42 and 43 of the AUSL season.

Game 42: Taking The Claws Out Of The Offense

As the Talons faced the Blaze, it has been a one-sided affair in the win column as the Blaze looked to avoid being swept. Offensively, the Talons only mustered just three hits throughout the game as it was team effort in the circle for the Blaze.

First, Devyn Netz started the game as she went three innings and allowed a hit with a strikeout. Next, Aleshia Ocasio entered the game, going two innings while surrendering a hit wile getting the win. Afterwards, Keilani Ricketts went an inning, as did Alana Vawter, who picked her second save of the AUSL season.

The lone runs from the Blaze came from a Baylee Klingler RBI in the bottom of the first and a McKenzie Clark RBI sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Game 43: A Lone Run Affair In The Lone Star State

Heading to Round Rock, the Volts were in search of a win against the Bandits in their series. Here, a Dejah Mulipola two-run home run in the top of the second gave the Volts an early lead. Also, Tiare Jennings added an RBI double in the top of the fifth for a 3-0 Volts lead. However, the Bandits responded with four runs in the bottom of the fifth. Morgan Zerkle hit a sacrifice fly RBI, No. 25 on the season.

Finally, Skylar Wallace hit an RBI single as Danielle Gibson Whorton gave the Bandits a 4-3 lead via a two-run single.

In the end, that would be the final score. Taylor McQuillin got the win for the Bandits after going two-and-two-thirds innings.
