The Boys season 4 is as shocking as ever, as you can see in our feature on the 8 most shocking moments we couldn’t believe from The Boys, but it’s cleaned up its act for Indian audiences.
One scene in episode two has been radically altered. It takes place in a sauna, and involves the Supe called Splinter. He has the power to split himself in half and multiply indefinitely.
Splinter uses that power to create several clones. When Frenchie and Kimiko walk into a sauna, they stumble upon Splinter and all of his clones performing a highly adult act upon himself. In India, however, the scene’s not the same.
Instead of showing a bunch of naked Splinters lined up behind each other, it’s just the one Splinter at the front, who’s pleasuring himself over a magazine. It’s rude, but not as rude as the unedited scene.
The Indian edit also ruins a joke later in the episode, where one character remarks Splinter has the facial affliction known as ‘pink eye’. It wouldn’t make sense unless you’ve seen Splinter lining up in a sauna as a human centipede.
It’s not the first time The Boys has been heavily censored. In season 3, its infamous Herogasm scene was entirely removed in India. According to film critic Pramit on Twitter, “Prime Video India censored, blurred, edited, zoomed in to shots to not show areas of several frames in Herogasm.”

The people governing entertainment India & those who are letting themselves be governed are the biggest bloody losers in the world.
