 Cold Hearts 84, YNG Dreamerz 82

The Cold Hearts played what could quite possibly be the game of the year with a massive upset of the YNG Dreamerz, thanks to a three-point buzzer beater from Owen Laver. With the Cold Hearts down one and nine seconds remaining, Anderson Diaz drove into the lane where he drew two defenders, opening up Laver for the dagger from the corner to score the Cold Hearts the biggest upset in program history

Diaz was unbelievable all night, scoring timely bucket after timely bucket, which ended his night with 16 points and seven assists. Adam Oumiddoch came on strong late, scoring 18 points and pulling down seven boards in the clutch victory for the Cold Hearts

For the YNG Dreamerz, Caleb Jones had an incredible night that will be lost to time, as he scored 27 points, including the go-ahead layup to put the Dreamerz up one with nine seconds remaining. Isaac Ellis had a record breaking night of his own, finishing with 22 points and three assists, with his three assists enough to push him past his brother for the most career assists in OTE history

FaZe bounced back in a major way on Saturday evening, picking up a big 79-74 win over the City Reapers thanks to some stellar performances. The Reapers had FaZe on the ropes, down 11 entering the fourth quarter, but a great offensive fourth quarter saw them reverse their fortunes and get back in the win column. Marcus Spears Jr. finished the night with an OTE career-high 30 points, which included an absurd 20 points in the fourth quarter, while also piling up nine boards, two steals and a block ‍

Guard Hunter McGraw was cooking for FaZe, scoring 17 points, which included shooting 15 free throws, as his ability to draw fouls was critical to the team’s comeback. Seven Spurlock continues to do a little bit of everything for the team, this time finishing the night with an all-around stat line of 15 points, six assists, four boards and three steals

For the City Reapers, Jeremy Jenkins logged his second straight double-double, with a juicy stat line of 20 points and 11 boards. Class of 2028 guard Blaze Johnson has really begun to shine over the team’s last few games, this time rounding out the night with 18 points and four assists

OTE will be back in ATL next week with Jelly Fam coming to town for the first time this year to take on the City Reapers at 7 PM on Friday before the Blue Checks also make their first ATL stop at 9 PM against the Cold Hearts. All OTE games can be watched on OTE’s YouTube channel this season
