The Ohio State Buckeyes are reportedly in a 'strong position' to steal a key commit from the Tennessee Vols

The Tennessee Vols are in danger of losing a key 2026 four-star commit to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

2026 four-star athlete Legend Bey has been committed to Tennessee since June.

Bey, 5-foot-11/175 lbs from Forney, TX, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 24 athlete in the nation and the No. 47 player in the state of Texas.

The talented recruit was in Columbus this past weekend for Ohio State's game against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Legend Bey said Ohio State is a "huge consideration"

Bey told On3 following his visit to Ohio State that the Buckeyes are a "huge consideration" in his recruitment.

“Ohio State is in consideration,” said Bey to On3. “They have an amazing plan for me and want me to play as a freshman….Ohio State is a huge factor in my recruitment. They have QB and wildcat packages for me and want to develop me! Not only does this visit have me considering them, but I love my relationships with the coaching staff.”

On3's Sam Spiegelman noted on Thursday that Ohio State is in a "strong position" to potentially flip Bey from the Volunteers.

"The Ohio State staff knocked it out of the park with the Tennessee commit out of Texas, and our intel points to the Buckeyes being in a strong position to potentially flip the 4-star speedster," wrote Spiegelman.

Spiegelman also pointed out that members of Tennessee's coaching staff are expected to visit Bey at the end of this week.

The early signing period begins in just under a month, so Vols fans won't have to wait long to see how this recruiting battle plays out.
