The Big 12 Conference has announced that country music star Jon Pardi will be the halftime performer at the 2025 Big 12 Championship Game, bringing a new sound to one of college football’s marquee stages.

Pardi, a California native and platinum-selling artist, is known for hits like “Dirt on My Boots,” “Heartache Medication,” and “Last Night Lonely.” He has earned multiple Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association awards and built a reputation for energetic live shows that blend traditional country with a modern edge.

This year’s selection marks a stylistic shift for the Big 12’s halftime entertainment. In 2023 and 2024, the conference featured R&B artists Nelly and NE-YO, respectively. Pardi’s performance will bring a country music flair to AT&T Stadium, fitting for a game played in the heart of Texas.

The Big 12 Championship Game has become known not only for deciding the league’s champion but also for its high-profile halftime shows. The addition of Pardi continues a tradition of pairing college football’s big moments with nationally recognized musical acts.

The 2025 Big 12 Championship Game is set for December 6th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. With the conference race projected to be one of the most competitive in recent memory, Pardi’s performance will be part of an atmosphere that blends championship stakes with big-time entertainment.
