UCF football has secured a key addition to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of three‑star running back Arthur Lewis IV.
Lewis, previously committed to Liberty, has decided to flip his pledge and join the Knights to play for head coach Scott Frost.
The 5‑foot‑10, 220‑pound back from Bartram Trail High School visited UCF on an official visit over the weekend. He impressed the coaching staff and staffers, earning an offer and ultimately committing to the program.
“What I like most about UCF is the family,” Lewis said. “Not just the coaching staff, but the players. You know, for Coach Frost just to come in as a coach, it’s hard for the teammates and staff to build that bond. But it’s as if there was no drop-off. It was like he was just here last year. They got that family feel that I really like.”
Lewis fits the model of a “bowling ball‑style back,” which is music to Frost’s ears. His physical running style and quick burst should make him a natural fit in UCF’s powerful ground game. He becomes the 14th commit in the Knights’ class and the first running back of the group.
For Scott Frost, this is a win in his first full cycle back as UCF head coach. Frost led the Knights to an undefeated regular season in 2017 and returns this fall hungry to reestablish UCF as a Big 12 contender.
As UCF continues to lay the foundation under Frost’s leadership, landing Lewis signals that the program is gaining traction in recruiting. The Knights look to capitalize on that momentum as they prepare for a Big 12 test in the 2025 season.
