Key Buffalo Bills 'Monday Night Football' Storylines

Quarterback Josh Allen played like an MVP candidate last week. This is good news for a Bills team striving to win its first Super Bowl. If Allen puts up the numbers he's capable of, this is a tough team to beat, especially at home. He's a big reason why the Bills have transformed into perennial Super Bowl contenders. When he's on the field, watch out for him to make something happen. He's that good.

Keep an eye on the Bills secondary. Their cornerback situation is a cause for worry ever since All-Pro cornerback Tre'Davious White went down with a torn ACL. The next man is going to have to step up. In this case, it's rookies Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford. This is a great opportunity for the youngsters to prove their NFL worth.

An X-Factor for the Bills is stud edge rusher Von Miller. The certified game-wrecker was the Bills prized offseason pickup. The two-time Super Bowl champion has made his mark everywhere he's played. Expect him to deliver in front of the Bills Mafia. He already has two sacks on the season.

Key Tennessee Titans 'Monday Night Football' Storylines

The Titans have a completely different philosophy than the Bills, who were built to beat the Kansas City Chiefs by mirroring their finesse style of football. The Bills are a pass-happy team. On the other hand, the Titans are a smash mouth football team that runs the ball and beats you with a championship-level defense. Be sure to pay attention to the Titans time of possession. They might play keep away with the Bills offense. If Josh Allen is off the field, the Titans have to like their chances.

The matchup to watch in this game is Derrick Henry versus the Bills formidable front seven. King Henry ran for 2,000 yards in 2020 and is attempting to bounce back from an injury-riddled season. If King Henry can hold his own against the Bills defense and breakaway for a few big runs, it could change the course of the game.

The Titans don't want an 0-2 start to their season. They had the best record in the AFC last year and want to keep their position at the top locked up. They have a run for their money against the Bills.
