Tony Hawk’s Iconic “900” Skateboard is Officially Up for Auction

“Among the extraordinary rarities in the ‘Tony Hawk: The 900 Collection’ auction are a pair of black and orange Adio Tony Hawk model sneakers (size 13), along with the exact knee pads and helmet he wore while executing the groundbreaking 900,” Julien’s Auctions mentions. “Items that are virtually irreplaceable given their direct association with this iconic moment in skateboarding history.”

Let’s be real—this is pretty gnarly. But without being too much of a downer, I should say this: don’t get too excited, because the majority of us here probably don’t have a spare $500,000-600,000 sitting around, which is the estimated starting bid. It makes sense, though. Because in all honesty, that thing is pretty much priceless. Fury trucks. The Adio and Hot Wheels stickers. Pure gold.

"This is the first time I’ve been personally involved in every aspect of selling my own items.” Hawk recently shared with People Magazine. “As a longtime buyer with Julien’s, I was proud to partner with them for this event. I chose pieces from my collection that are not only meaningful to me, but also to a collector seeking a special ‘One of One’ like the '900' deck. It will be bittersweet to part with gear that represents highlights of my career, but helping raise funds for The Skatepark Project makes it all worthwhile.”
