Granata coach Marco Baroni has yet to decide on the formation that he’ll use in tomorrow’s Serie A opener between Inter Milan and Torino.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInteNews. They also note that Torino are missing four players due to injury.
Inter Milan are just a day away from the start of their Serie A season.
The Nerazzurri kick off their campaign against Torino on Monday. They host the Granata at the San Siro in their first match of the season.
This will be the first Serie A match in charge of Inter for new coach Cristian Chivu.
Meanwhile, some new faces who have arrived during the summer transfer window will also have a chance to make their debuts.
On the other side, meanwhile, Torino are also heading into the season with a new coach.
Marco Baroni arrived to replace Paolo Vanoli over the summer.
Baroni is a coach who rarely uses a back-three formation. Therefore, he has spent the summer transitioning Torino into playing in a system with a four-man defense.
However, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Torino coach could use either a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 shape against Inter.
Then, the newspaper also note that Torino will be without four players due to injury. Alieu Njie, Perr Schuurs, Zanos Savva, and Ardian Ismajli will all be out.
