Toronto Signs Jamison Battle To Exhibit 10 Deal

The deal comes after have a couple of impressive outings from Battle. The 6-foot-7 forward out of Ohio State has turned heads during his performances with the Raptors, shooting 5-for-8 from behind the arc in his two Summer League outings.

Battle was a fifth-year senior who began his collegiate career at George Washington before transferring as a junior to Minnesota. He averaged a career-high 17.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a junior with the Golden Gophers. Then he transferred again to join the Buckeyes last season.

With the Buckeyes, Battle averaged 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from three-point range.

Battle went undrafted last month and then signed with the Raptors Summer League team.

Battle has been a big boost off the bench for Toronto. He had 12 points in his first Summer League game and then had 11 points in his second game. Battle will have another opportunity to impress in the Raptors third Summer League game.

The Raptors roster is currently full with 15 players on guaranteed contracts. The three two-way spots are taken and Javon Freeman-Liberty is on a non-guaranteed contract. Quincy Guerrier is also on an Exhibit 10 deal.

Since Castle is on an Exhibit 10 deal, he’ll likely join Toronto in training camp before being waived by Toronto. However, they will keep his rights for the G League.

Battle will then have the opportunity to join the Raptors 905 for this season.

Oddsmakers reveal Raptors expected win total for 2024-25 Season

The Toronto Raptors are expected to win more games than they did a season ago.

Oddsmakers like DraftKings have set the Raptors win total at 31.5 for next season.

This is the fifth lowest win total in the Eastern Conference, not including the Chicago Bulls who are not listed.

The Raptors won 25 games in the 2023-24 season, so this line shows an improvement of 6.5 games from last year.
