Tottenham Hotspur have a lot of ambitious efforts lined-up in the final days of the summer transfer window. The North London club still have some work to do to reinforce the roster at Thomas Frank’s disposal.

The North London club have made two major moves so far this summer – Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United and Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich. The duo have settled in very well so far in Frank’s side.

The Danish tactician has had a rollicking start to the Premier League 2025/26 campaign, securing back-to-back wins including a 2-0 thumping of Manchester City. Spurs are yet to concede a goal this season.

Tottenham eye cut-price Morgan Rogers deal

Now, as per Caught Offside , Tottenham are eyeing a cut-price deal to sign talented Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers in the final days of the transfer window. The 23-year-old won the PFA Young Player of the Year for his exploits last season.

Having made a name for himself during pre-season ahead of last season, Rogers quickly became one of Unai Emery’s first names on the team sheet. The English attacking midfielder impressed with his directness and his ability to pop in with goals.

Ideally, there is no way Aston Villa would want to sell Rogers but their PSR situation is such that a sale might be a necessity. This is where Spurs are considering taking advantage of the situation and signing him on a cut-price deal.

Aston Villa are unlikely to do any favours

Even if Villa were willing to make the sale this summer, one would have to assume that they wouldn’t be accepting any bargains. Rogers in today’s market will ideally cost in nine figures and the Midlands club will want something close.

Tottenham have been on the lookout for a #10 ever since James Maddison’s unfortunate ACL injury. At this moment, there aren’t many better players in that position in world football than Morgan Rogers.

Should Daniel Levy & co. be able to pull this off, this would be one of the coups of the entire summer transfer window. With not long left to go in the transfer window, a decision needs to be made sooner rather than later. Let’s wait and see how things play out on this front.
