Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the French attacker Maghnes Akliouche for they have now learnt his asking price.
According to Football Insider, the player will cost them £47.5 million. It remains to be seen whether Spurs are prepared to pay up.
They need more depth on the flanks and the 23-year-old is capable of slotting into both flanks. He will add depth and quality to the Spurs attack.
Spurs move would be exciting for the player and he will look to prove his worth in England. He is an elite prospect with a bright future and he could develop into a star for the club.
“The one that seems to be catching their eye is the Monaco star, Maghnes Akliouche”, Peter O’rourke told Football Insider.
“He’s a very talented young player, and could be available for around £47.5million.
“He’s a top young player, 23 years old, probably one of the most exciting young talents in Ligue 1 right now – he can play as a winger, or as a number 10 as well.
“If Tottenham aren’t able to resurrect their deal for Savinho, Akliouche would be a decent alternative, and it does seem that Monaco would sell at the right price.”
Tottenham have started the season well but they need reinforcements. They have injuries in the attacking department, and a quality winger would be ideal. They should invest in a quality striker as well.
The £47.5 million asking price might prove to be expensive, but Akliouche could justify the outlay in future.
Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his high potential.
Tottenham have the resources to get the deal done and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
Akliouche will be tempted to make a big move and the opportunity to sign for a top Premier League club will be hard to turn down for him. He will certainly hope to complete the transfer.
