Transformers One Director Finally Acknowledges Viral Twitter Account

The director of Transformers One gave a shout out to a viral Twitter account inspired by the movie.

During a speech at the Paris premier of Transformers One, Josh Cooley was asked about the Twitter user who goes by the handle @TFHypeGuy. “Did you hear about how he promotes the movie?” said one audience member in a Q+A.

“I saw that, yes,” responds Cooley. “Are you him? There is a guy online who is a massive fan and who has been promoting the film on his constantly, so great. Very happy for him.” Cooley’s answer promoted laughs from the crowd.

If you’ve not seen posts by @TFHypeGuy, he runs a Twitter account that replies to messages on the social media platform by shoehorning references to Transformers One, no matter how awkward the context.

For instance, one Twitter user asked if Uno is a Mexico game. Another replied “Well it isn’t called ‘one.’” This set @TFHypeGuy for his by now patterned response, which you can see below. And yes, in answer to the question posed in the account’s title, Transformers One is indeed out.
