A former five-star linebacker, who received his first college offer more than nine years ago, removed his name from the transfer portal on Wednesday so that he can play his seventh season with UNLV.
Flowe’s first offer came from UCLA in February 2017. Upwards of 40 additional offers followed. Along the way came countless visits and meetings with coaches before he eventually committed to Oregon in December 2019.
Flowe spent three seasons with the Ducks but only totaled 49 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss. This led to his December 2022 transfer to Arizona where in two seasons he totaled 44 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack.
In April 2025 he re-entered the portal, finding a home soon after with UNLV. In his one season with the Rebels, he totaled 14 tackles. He once again entered the portal in January but now will play his final collegiate season in Las Vegas after withdrawing his name on Wednesday.
How is Flowe still eligible to play during the 2026 season? 2020 was his COVID-19 blanket waiver, in 2021 he received a medical redshirt after breaking his foot during the season opener and in 2024 he only played four games due to another injury.
Once a former five-star high school recruit, Flowe is preparing for this seventh season of college football with a total of 107 tackles, six tackles for loss and one sack.
Is it more likely that 2026 will finally be his breakout season or the end of his playing days?
