Rodman’s camp and the Spirits were caught in a stalemate during her contract negotiations in the offseason. But the 23-year-old’s resume spoke for itself, and Washington had to cave in at the end to offer her the biggest payday in league history.

Trinity Rodman signed a record-breaking contract extension, which will see her earning over $2 million annually till 2028.

This makes her the highest-earning NWSL player, and one of the highest earners in the world alongside Sam Ker, Aitana Bonmati, and Alexia Putellas.
