Triumph NIL has grown its roster at an exponential rate, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon.

On Thursday, Triumph NIL announced the signing of Virginia Tech pitcher Drue Hackenberg, who will rely on the sports marketing agency to manage his name, image and likeness rights.

“Drue is certainly a rising star on the baseball team with insane potential,” said Joey Harrington, Triumph NIL partner. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to watch him thrive on the field while we work to help his ‘NIL’ thrive off of it.”

Hackenberg, who is a sophomore right-handed pitcher, is one of the Hokies’ top baseball prospects. In a victory over Bryant last Saturday, he racked up 10 strikeouts, which is his personal-best output in a single game.

Last season, Hackenberg finished with a 10-2 record in 17 appearances for Virginia Tech. He led the ACC conference with a 2.44 ERA and was recognized as a Freshman All-American by five different organizations.

“I am grateful and excited to work with the team at Triumph NIL to help build my brand as a student-athlete here at Virginia Tech and to make things off the field much easier so I can work on being the best I can be on the field,” Hackenberg said in a statement. “The resources that Triumph has will help me build relationships and connections with businesses and the community, which is why I am so eager to be able to work with their team.”
