The TV time has been officially set for Indiana basketball vs Auburn in Atlanta in December.

The Hoosiers will face off with Auburn on December 9th with tip off coming 2 PM ET. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN2.

Indiana will play Maryland and Michigan to open conference play in December. That is in the middle of a seven-game stretch where the Hoosiers will play six high-major opponents. That includes the Empire Classic against UConn and then either Louisville or Texas, Auburn in Atlanta and then Kansas on Dec. 16 at Assembly Hall.

Indiana has made it to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments for the first time since the 2014-15 / 15-16 seasons. Indiana made it to the Round of 32 before a loss to Miami (Fla.) last season.

Indiana has only played the Auburn Tigers once winning  107-90 in the second round of the 1987 NCAA Tournament. Indiana’s last game in Atlanta was in 2017 in a 75-63 first round loss to Georgia Tech in the NIT.

The Auburn Tigers, as part of the SEC and coached by Bruce Pearl, went 10-8 in the conference while having an overall record of 21-13 in the 2022-23 season. Their season ended with a second round loss in the NCAA Tournament to Houston this past season.

Indiana has multiple ties to Atlanta with assistant coach Yasir Rosemond and Indiana player Kaleb Banks and incoming freshman Jakai Newton bring from Georgia. Mike Woodson’s first heading job was with the Atlanta Hawks from 2004-2010 as well.

Indiana’s ‘unofficial’ start of the season is Hoosier Hysteria on Homecoming Weekend, Friday, Oct. 20.
