While Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Tyler Hall is not a consistent member of the team's active roster, he is undoubtedly one of the club's more essential players.

Hall was signed to the active roster this week after having been elevated three times before this season.

With injuries building up weekly in the secondary, the second-year Raiders' role has become more crucial as the season continues.

Hall has strived to make the most of his chances as he has been called upon.

"I mean, he [Hall] did it last year, too, when he had his opportunities," said Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels when he addressed the media Friday. "He went in there, and he's just been productive. He knows what to do, is a very smart kid, he prepares really hard.

"Very diligent when he's not on the active [roster]. He's prepared just like he's going to play, and then when we've elevated him a handful of times here in two years, he does his job, is dependable, communicates well with the rest of the secondary and the defense, and makes plays. He's productive, he tackles, he runs to the ball, he covers, and then he contributes in the kicking game, too.

"So, just all the things you would want a player to do that's on the practice squad trying to get himself to the game, Tyler does them, and then when he's ready to go, he's made the most of his opportunities."

Hall had played in the Raiders' last three games and has totaled ten combined tackles (eight solo), including their win over the Patriots when he recorded six (five solo).

The former Super Bowl champion played seven games for Las Vegas last season, having made three starts. He finished the 2022 campaign with 20 combined tackles, two for losses, four passes defensed, and a sack.

Hall is in his fourth season in the league.

The Silver and Black will head on the road to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 1:05 p.m. EDT/10:05 a.m. PDT.
