The UCLA Bruins continue to deal with attrition among their 2026 recruiting class. Now a wide receiver is the latest to reopen his recruitment following DeShaun Foster's dismissal.

Xavier Stinson joins the growing list of former UCLA commits, pivoting out of the Big Ten University Monday according to Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals.

Foster and his Bruins staff won over the Vero Beach, Fla., talent back in June. Stinson originally turned down 15 scholarship offers for the West Coast university.

Notable Decommits From the UCLA 2026 Class

The list of former UCLA commits has grown to an astonishing eight, including one 2027 pledge.

Each player left after the now infamous 35-10 loss to New Mexico -- which became Foster's final game as head coach.

Four-stars Johnnie Jones and David Schwerzel are two prized recruits who reopened their process. UCLA in return lost two talents capable of boosting the trenches.

But more followed the exit and into a reopened process. Three-stars Cooper Javosky (offensive lineman), Anthony Jones (defensive line), edge rusher Yahya Gaad and linebacker Ramzak Fruen all departed from the Bruins following the Foster announcement.

Even 2027 prospect Demaje Riley (wide receiver) decided to hear from other schools by choosing to pursue other interests on the recruiting trail.

Stinson is now the first offensive skills position prospect for the '26 class to dip out of Westwood. He even revealed Big Ten rival Purdue offered him back on Sept. 14.

Who Remains With UCLA's Recruiting Class?

Unrest has run rapid in the San Gabriel Valley region. More so on the UCLA campus.

The Bruins remain winless and are seeking a new leader for 2026 and beyond. Interim head coach Tim Skipper is doing his part to keep the 2025 Bruins positive amid the ongoing changes and tensions surrounding the program.

"Skip" is also trying to keep other commits from drifting off.

UCLA now sits at 14 total verbal pledges for the '26 cycle. But have fallen to 65th in the nation for recruiting classes per 247Sports.

Four-star edge rusher Carter Gooden remains committed to the Bruins. However, he visited the Oregon-Penn State overtime win on Sunday -- with the latter power attempting to flip Gooden.

Fellow four-star Micah Smith, who hails from Stinson's hometown, is another who remains in place for UCLA. However, the interior offensive lineman visited the LSU-Ole Miss game in Oxford on Saturday -- leaving Bruin fans on edge for another possible decommit.
