USA Cricket is making big strides in supporting and growing women’s cricket across the country. As part of its revamped domestic pathway, the 2025 Women’s Conference T20 Championships – East and West – are now underway, providing more opportunities than ever for girls to compete at higher levels.
With a surge in female participation, especially among youth players, USA Cricket has shifted from a regional to a zonal format. This means more teams, more players, and more chances for young cricketers to shine.
The West Conference began on June 30 in Woodley, California, and runs until July 3. The East Conference will follow from July 7 to 10 at NY Oval in Albany, New York. Each side includes four zone-based teams battling for a place in the prestigious Senior National Championship in October.
“This growth is inspiring,” said Nadia Gruny, USA Cricket Board Member and Chair of the Women’s Cricket Committee. “With increasing domestic competitions, strong community support, and rising talent, we are building the blocks for exponential growth in women’s cricket.”
Earlier this year, the U19 Women’s National Championship was held in Albany. The Red Team, captained by Pooja Ganesh and coached by Subhash Chuttugudishi, took top honors. Next up is the U15 Girls’ National Championship in Orlando, Florida, from August 8 to 11.
Celeste du Toit, USA Cricket Women’s Coordinator, added, “It’s incredibly rewarding to see the passion for cricket growing so strongly among our female players. The future of women’s cricket in the U.S. is bright.”
The new zonal structure has also introduced intra-zonal competitions, giving even more girls a platform to develop and compete. The change replaces the old intra-regional format and adds depth to the domestic pathway.
Behind every squad are dedicated coaches, managers, and volunteers working to support the next generation of female athletes. From the Northeast to the Southwest, players are representing their zones with pride and commitment.
This new chapter in American cricket is not just about championships—it's about creating lasting change and building a sustainable future for girls in the game. With every match played, USA Cricket is proving that women’s cricket is not just growing—it’s thriving.
