PHOENIX — Phoenix Rising’s Hope Avayevu and head coach Pa-Modou Kah received USL Team of the Week 10 honors after securing their second win of the season against New Mexico United on May 10.
Avayevu, with his second Team of the Week honors this season, was involved in both goals against New Mexico with one being his own. He has been involved in 6 out of 16 goals for Rising, leading the team with nine points.
Kah also receives his second Coach of the Week honors in 2025, both coming after Phoenix’s two wins. Kah realizes that the start of the season hasn’t been the easiest, but hopes that the win against New Mexico will spark the team to keep improving.
“This group is growing, and you can see the growth every single day,” he said after the match. “To come out here and put out this performance is something to be proud of and I hope this will spur the team to use this momentum to move forward.”
Let’s keep it going
