Valentina Shevchenko Slams Jake Paul After ‘UFC Is Dying’ Remark Over Boring Fights

Valentina Shevchenko does not waste words when she disagrees with someone. After dismissing Khabib Nurmagomedov’s comment about women’s MMA, her target was now Jake Paul. After ‘The Problem Child’ called the UFC a dying promotion, she delivered her reply with the precision of someone who has spent decades making opponents regret their decisions.

Shevchenko heard it and went straight to the point that matters most. According to her, criticizing MMA from a distance is easy. However, getting into an octagon with one of the people that Paul is describing as boring is a different conversation entirely. The offer came with a lot of confidence. It sounded like something only a fighter with years of experience would say.

UFC dying ?! Hey Jake,  you definitely don’t know what  are you talking about. Criticizing MMA from a long distance. Try to get into an octagon with one of them, and they’ll wipe the floor with your pretty face. You will show spectacular,  breathtaking fight from down there!  Then you can tell us how fun or boring it was!” Shevchenko wrote on X.

Paul’s dying narrative and the “wrestling is boring” argument are both vague. Using the Khabib Nurmagomedov and Khamzat Chimaev callouts as proof that MMA has failed to stand the test of time also feels unclear.

These are the kind of statements made to grab attention, spark reactions from fighters, and reach people who may have never watched a full UFC card. Now, one thing is clear: the Russian fighter won’t let anyone dismiss the sports she built her entire career on.

Valentina Shevchenko Ridiculed Khabib Nurmagomedov Over Her Comments On WMMA

After the Dagestani legend called MMA a man’s sport. The two-time UFC women’s flyweight champion fired back hard. She said strength isn’t about gender and pointed to real-life examples. In her post on X, she challenged anyone who thinks women are weak, saying those women flew, fought, and landed in darkness fearlessly.

“Women are weak?! Tell that to my sister—an airline captain. Or tell it to the “Night Witches” the all-female bomber regiment of World War II, who dropped bombs under the cover of darkness with their engines off. Then landed in pitch blackness without landing lights. For this, they earned a reputation for being elusive and deadly. Go ahead, tell them who is stronger,” Shevchenko said.

Shevchenko has shared the cage with some of the best fighters in women’s MMA history. From Ronda Rousey to Amanda Nunes and many others, these fighters have shown that the sport is not just for men. It is for warriors with the right mindset.
