Why Wake Forest Will Win

Oregon State has a whole slew of problems.

The running game isn't totally absent, but it's not very good. It can produce when it keeps running, but Wake Forest will take that deal. Stopping teams from powering away has been a Demon Deacon problem.

The pass defense isn't there, either. The Beavers were able to hold up against Fresno State, but that's about it. Everyone else has been able to crank up the big plays, even the ones that didn't complete a slew of passes. But ...

Why Oregon State Will Win

Oregon State can move things if it's able to commit to the run.

It didn't run enough against App State, but that's partly because the passing game was clicking. Against Houston, Oregon State ran almost 50 times and controlled the game until late.

It's no coincidence that the two Wake Forest losses came on the two worst days from the run defense.

Can the Beavers Catch a Break?

Will Oregon State finally be on the right side of a close game?

It's not a terribly late game for the Demon Deacons. The team should've had plenty of time getting used to the long trip, and Dickert has more than just his knowledge of the Oregon State program. He has the better team.
