Azzi Fudd, through a recent promotional campaign with CashApp, has gone on a charitable spree at the University of Connecticut. All documented on video, Fudd dispatched her “fairy godmothers, Betty, Melody, and Tabitha,” on campus to “give princess treatment to as many people as possible.”

While some lucky recipients were given free electronic devices like Apple products and scooters, the vast majority had their groceries or meals paid for, with a few even receiving a certain amount of money via the CashApp application.

Calling the collaboration ‘Princess Treatment with Azzi Fudd,’ CashApp put out posts on their social media handles that read, “Fairy Godmothers did descend. Wishes were granted. And the town of Storrs was forever changed. Scooters spirited away to eager riders. Groceries quietly accounted for. And purses made heavier, as if by magic alone. Should you happen to spot a shimmer of orange in the distance…well, dear scholar — one never knows whose wish may be granted next.”

And while one might think that this is a mere promotional stunt for a product, the campaign is something that mirrors Azzi Fudd’s generous nature, as the UConn Huskies guard is actively involved in philanthropy and community service.

A Strong History of Charitable Acts

From as far back as 2021, Fudd has been hosting the Azzi Fudd Hooping for a Cure Basketball Camp. The proceeds from the annual program support critically ill children and their families through the Pat Summitt Foundation and the Abby Zittoun Family Foundation.

While Summitt was a legendary women’s basketball coach who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, Zittoun was a 13-year-old girl cancer victim known for her love for the UConn women’s basketball team.

Azzi Fudd has volunteered, in 2024 and 2025, at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, providing support to children battling serious illnesses.
