Caitlin Clark had a lot to unpack during her appearance on Basketball Night in America, as she returned to the show for the first time since her viral debut in February. Among the many things she touched on during the segment, the Indiana Fever star was full of praise as she spoke about Nikola Jokic.
Speaking to Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady, Clark said, “I think everybody knew he was going to do everything he could to get back(from his left knee hyperextension). And, I mean, there’s not many people that average a triple-double”
She added, “He’s done it all year long and back-to-back years, so it’s pretty incredible. And honestly, he’s probably my favorite player to watch, and I think he’s the best player in the world.”

And while Clark’s reverence for LeBron James is well-known, her choice to name Nikola Jokic as her favorite player wouldn’t come as a surprise to her fans.
Both players are known for their court vision, creativity, and ability to push teammates to be better. Furthermore, Caitlin Clark herself has recorded multiple triple-doubles and built a reputation as one of the most exciting playmakers in women’s basketball.
Additionally, what Clark has said about Jokic stands true. The 2x NBA MVP is currently averaging 27.9 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 10.8 assists, and is one of the frontrunners for this season’s MVP as well.
That being said, Caitlin Clark also had a couple of things to say about LeBron James.
Pretty much every WNBA fan would know that Caitlin Clark worked as a credentialed photographer for the recent Pacers-Lakers game.
